U.S. immigrant visa medical examinations in Türkiye

What to bring

  • Your valid passport.
  • Your visa application confirmation (DS-260, or DS-160 for a K visa) - printed
  • Your interview invitation letter from the US Consulate - printed
  • Original vaccination records with dates, must be translated to English if original is not English or Turkish.
  • Medical records relevant to your examination, especially previous TB treatment, ongoing conditions, major surgery and mental health treatment. Bring an English or Turkish summary if the originals are in another language.
  • Any medication you are currently using.
  • Your glasses or contact lenses, if you use them.
  • If you have given birth, write down the birth dates for each child in US Calendar format (mm/dd/yyyy) and bring it with you

You do not need to fast. Eat and drink normally. We take the photo needed for the medical report at the clinic.

A COVID-19 vaccination certificate is not required for the U.S. immigrant visa medical examination.

If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, tell us before your chest X-ray or vaccination assessment. If you have a persistent cough, fever or other symptoms of an infectious illness, contact us before coming.
